Throughout NOLA Pyrate Week we plan many events to highlight New Orleans and Louisiana art, music, food & culture. We hope ye can join us on these adventures!
Here’s what we have planned thus far…
Fri. Mar. 26 – French Quarter Pyrate Parade – join the Pyrates, Krewes & bands as we officially start NOLA Pyrate Week! Register for parades here
Every evening at The Funky Pirate (Bourbon St.) – Pyrates! UK (the #1 Pyrate band in the UK plays throughout NOLA Pyrate Week at other venues as well)
Sat. Mar. 27 & Sun. Mar. 28. (noon-9pm) – Land of NOD Experiment (New Orleans, Louisiana) presents: “Dutch Alley Invasion” – A Wetlands awareness & fundraising event to kick off NOLA Pyrate Week – in Dutch Alley of the French Market! Support the WGL Initiative – save the Wetlands, save the Gators, save Louisiana!
Free for all to attend!

Tues. Mar. 30, Wed. Mar. 31, Thurs. April. 1 (9am-5pm) – volunteers help rebuild with lowernine.org (signup here)
TBA (Tues or Wed night) Haunted Pyrate Pub Crawl (8pm-10pm) – Our favourite Baratarian Buccaneer takes ye back through history with tales of some of the French Quarter’s most notorious Pyrates and places they frequented – starting at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop and winding our way through the quarter…$10 min. donation night of tour
Thurs. Apr. 1 (8pm-10pm) – Join us in the Marigny at Gallery de PoBoy (corner St. Claude & Press) Playwright Michael Martin regales ye with a staged reading of his mysterious new Pyrate play! $5 min. donation
Fri. Apr. 2 The Hi Ho Lounge (7pm -?) – Pyrates join the Goodchildren Social Aid & Pleasure Club annual fundraiser – raffles, “Jesus Christ Superstar Karaoke”, live music with Pyrates! UK and Cap’n Sandy (Alex McMurray)…donations happily accepted
Fri. Apr. 2 The Hi Ho Lounge – Midnight burlesque performance with Rev. Spooky LeStrange & Her Billion Dollar Baby Dolls! ($10 cover)
Sat. Apr. 3 The Avenue Pub (6pm – ?) – Pyrate Pub Party & Rum Tasting on the balcony! Live music with Pyrates! UK and more surprises…1 yr anniversary of J’anita’s fabulous food at The Avenue Pub! FREE
Sun. Apr. 4 Marigny/St. Claude Ave. (afternoon TBA) – Pyrates join the legendary Goodchildren SAPC Easter Parade, along with many bunnies, strollers, musicians, performers, artists…and children! (click register for parades)
Sun. Apr. 4 One Eyed Jacks (8pm & 10pm) – Fleur De Tease presents “Alice In Burlesqueland”, special ticket discounts for Pyrates!

Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras World Mon., Mar. 29: 2:00pm-3:30pm Come see where Mardi Gras is made! Since 1947, Blaine Kern Studios has been as much a part of Carnival as the parades New Orleans loves. They create most of those parades, from concept through completion. They are the world’s leading makers of floats, sculpture and props. Special discounted ticket price (advance only): $12.50 (+$1 service charge) Reservations must be made by Monday, Mar. 22
