Hoist the Mainsail!

Avast me hearties – the next adventure is just over the horizon!

NOLA Pyrate Week 2012 sails into New Orleans March 23 – April 1 for a gathering o’ Buccaneers, Corsairs, Privateers, Wenches, Doxies, Navvies, Land Lubbers, Musicians, Artisans…and anyone else in search o’ good food, good drink and good mates to share it with! We will be raising funds for wetlands restoration in South Louisiana and delivering it in person during the week…we also hope to be actively involved in some restoration efforts in Terrebonne Parish – at the very least, we will be journeying down to visit our mate Captain Wendy and her crew!

Thanks to our mate Stef  ‘The Decatur Dragon’ McClain, we have a very special spot for Pyrate HQ and the Merchants Market (Sat & Sun, noon-7pm) this year – The Balcony  Music Club! It includes a stage, indoor spaces, a courtyard and a fantastic balcony…conveniently located at the junction o’ the French Quarter and the Marigny Triangle! Stef is working with us to organize some other shenanigans…

The annual French Quarter Pyrate Parade is scheduled for Friday March 23 (6:30 pm line up) with celebratory refreshments afterwards with our good mates Thais & Tony at Pirates Alley Café! We have the perfect route so all can make it all around – families, veterans and other groups welcome – bring all yer mates! If ye have instruments or flags, bring ’em!

If ye haven’t already, book yer lodgings…Merchants, Artisans, Tailors, Milliners, Chandlers, Performers…contact us to participate!

We are always happy to accept donations via PayPal/Credit Card toward the organizations we support and any operating costs that may be incurred (like parade permits, transportation and such)

More announcements to come…keep a weather eye on the website, pass the word and keep yer powder dry!

It’s April first and “a crew o’ Pyrates walk into a warehouse…” No joke. The year is 2023. Who (besides The Jetsons) would’ve imagined we’d ever write such a futuristic statement? Indeed, here we are well into the 21st century – and many things haven’t changed for the better since the 17th century. We continue to honour & commemorate our favourite Pyrates/Privateers; Jean Laffite, Renato Beluche, Dominique You, Barthéleme…
