Back To Da Bayou

For some years we have wanted to do something more with our mates in S. Louisiana – after all, it’s their ancestors who helped make Louisiana the vibrant state it is – and they helped Pyrates navigate the Bayous and absorb the culture from the early days! This is the year we go…

Back To Da Bayou!

Pyrates & Bayou FabioWhile we do voyage into the Bayous o’ S. Louisiana every year (volunteering for cleanups, wetlands tours, good food & camaraderie…), this year the Pyrates have taken it up a notch! Our annual Merchant & Artisan Market takes place in Historic Houma (Terrebonne Parish)named for the Houma Nation and home to some o’ History TV’s “Swamp People”! Join us Saturday, April 6 from 10am – 5pm at the Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum; literally on the Bayou in the middle o’ town! We are spanning both sides o’ the Bayou (there is a walking bridge between) – with access on both Park & Main streets. Here’s a MAP with directions from the French Quarter in New Orleans…Houma is a scenic 1 hour drive into Terrebonne Parish; Louisiana’s Bayou Country™.

historic-houma-logoWe are presenting a Merchant & Artisan Market featuring some unique local Artists/Artisans, live Pyratical music from our mates The Whiskey Bay Rovers, Wetlands Tours and more family friendly fun up to yer Buccaneers! Keep up to date with new information as it arrives – subscribe (over on the starboard side). If ye wish to be considered for the marketplace, please read and fill the form here.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about and support Louisiana culture from the people who live it; in the heart o’ the wetlands!

Houma will be busy this weekend as it is also the 2013 Louisiana State H.O.G. Rally – known to attract thousands o’ motorcycle enthusiasts!
