Family Pyrate Day 2018

It’s 300 years for New Orleans and 10 years for NOLA Pyrate Week! Artisans, Authors, Merchants o’ all kinds…it’s time to get yerself prepared for the annual Family Pyrate Day – Sat. 7 April! While some o’ the particulars are yet to be confirmed (exact location, minimum donation…), the general idea hasn’t changed.

In the tradition o’ the brothers Laffite, this is a “one day only” event, well publicized – and a great time to showcase yer wares to Pyrates and Landlubbers alike from every corner o’ the globe – while helping our mates raise some funds for their community! O’ course we plan to have some entertainment for ye – The Whiskey Bay Rovers and their fine collection o’ music and humour are always a pleasure to hear!

We’re looking for folks with skill, those who make their own goods (or at least carry handmade goods)…a few “mass manufactured” items are fine, but ye get the idea. Work in leather, paint, wood,  photos, steel…we welcome Authors (preferably Pyrate, Wetlands, Cultural or Historical type tales…but we’ll parley) – and we do try to have a time for Authors to give a reading or a chat with the wee Pyrates.

(FYI, we do not have a budget to pay for additional performers, though buskers are welcome)

For more information, watch this space – and be sure yer signed up for our crew list to be the first notified o’ any news/changes/updates (ye can also find us on most popular social media platforms).
